Dr Ravi Shankar--MBBS, MD is a FAIMER Fellow in Medical Education has a huge experience of working as a pharmacologist. He had already worked as a senior faculty member at Department of Pharmacology, Manipal College of Medical Sciences (MCOMS), Pokhara, Nepal. Dr Shankar was a professor at Department of Pharmacology and Department of Medical Education, KIST Medical College (KISTMC), Lalitpur, Nepal. He is also a faculty member of PSGFAIMER Regional Institute, Coimbatore, India. Dr Shankar who is also a Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at Xavier University School of Medicine, Aruba was involved in starting small group learning sessions in Pharmacology at MCOMS and KISTMC. He was also involved in conducting medical humanities sessions for faculty and students in these institutions. In addition, he was actively involved with FAIMER both as students and faculty. Dr Shankar who was involved in starting the PharmD program in Nepal has over 450 publications in different journals and has actively contributed to development of a number of journals. Besides his professional interests he loves trekking, travelling, photography, and creative writing among others.
